The high school volunteer abroad program offers a unique and unforgettable opportunity for young students aged 16-19 to contribute to meaningful volunteer work in Africa while immersing themselves in a new culture and acquiring valuable skills. Our teen volunteer program is thoughtfully structured to accommodate individuals without any specific qualifications or expertise, as long as they have the passion to make a positive impact.
Each volunteer project includes a well-balanced itinerary consisting of informative sessions, practical and observational service tasks, cultural exploration activities, and weekend excursions.
By participating in our program as a teenage volunteer, you will have the opportunity to develop and acquire a range of valuable skills, including team management, adapting to unfamiliar environments, planning, and preparedness. Additionally, you will cultivate a global mindset and become a socially-oriented leader. At HAF Volunteers, our goal is to engage students or student groups in a new community and culture, allowing them to make meaningful contributions to sustainable development projects. We are committed to ensuring that students have a fulfilling and transformative experience that they can take pride in. Through hands-on learning, students will not only gain insight into themselves within a new setting but also discover new passions and enhance their leadership abilities.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant African culture through a diverse range of activities. Engage in workshops including African drumming, dance, cloth weaving (kente weaving), and Ga language courses. Additionally, gain valuable leadership skills by connecting with inspirational grassroots leaders who are actively addressing the urgent challenges faced by underprivileged Ghanaian children and communities.
